    Program timeline

    The internship runs each summer. Select a cohort to open its report, photographs and results.

    Program overview

    EMSL hosts the internship each summer. Each cohort spends about six weeks inside a working solid-state physics laboratory, on a defined research problem, with a graduate mentor.

    The internship is a research placement, not a lecture course. Participants join an active project and are expected to produce and present their own data.

    Research topics

    Every topic builds on one core subject — luminescent materials. Internship projects are assigned from the five directions below.

    Life in Seoul

    The campus sits in Sangdo-dong, southern Seoul, on the subway network. Daily life outside the laboratory is straightforward to manage.
